The leader of Poland’s newly elected Law and Justice party, Jarosław Kaczyński, recently suggested that there will be no leniency for the director. “There was open talk that he should not be made responsible for his deeds because he is an outstanding, world-famous film-maker. We will totally reject this attitude,” he said
And this didn’t happen sooner because why?
I’m sure we’ll get a lot of “but he was a great artist” bullshit. So is Chris Brown (according to some). Hell, it’s now public knowledge what a horrible human being Lou Reed was (although people in the music industry, or who lived in New York, knew this for, like, ever). Just because some one made some “art” doesn’t mean that they have to fail in having other redeeming qualities.
